Wow, it is so good to get here and see friends that I have missed. I am here in Uganda staying at the Liz. Again I am traveling with Treena (my own private nurse) but this time Joey the Youth Pastor from Solomon’s Porch and Ryan Scott (missionary, world traveler and prayer warrior) has joined us.

Our flight this time was a piece of cake compared to last time. We left Portland at 10:30 am Tuesday the 9th and arrived here around 9:00 pm Wednesday. Really only about 26 hours of traveling (I think). It was still extremely hard for me to be cramped for such long flights but boy was I glad to get it over with and actually be here.
Our first meeting here was to pray at the hospital, I had some personal business to take care of so the team went and started without me. Even so I was only there for about a half hour and I got to lead someone to the Lord. I will post some notes from the team with more description from the hospital.

I have been in electronic hell. I purchased a brand new blackberry cell phone so that I could be in contact with home and church. I bought a special thingamabob to be able to use this in Uganda.

1. have not been able to get service where we are.
2. The charger for the phone does not work

I purchased a power converter so that I could plug in my laptop to recharge and my phone as well as my own special treat to myself (a coffeemaker). I brought good coffee, sugar, filters a brand new coffeemaker and even a coffee cup. My one luxury,

Instead I blew up my power converter, and Treena’s. I could not charge my laptop so I have not been able to send blogs, couldn’t call, I couldn’t even drink my coffee. You my say that NONE of my carefully laid plans worked in the natural.

Thankfully however the plans that God made for us have been amazing. Our team (myself, Treena, Ryan and Joey) could not have been had picked any better. Each of our different giftings have complimented each other perfectly.

As a result we have seen a consistant stream of people receiving healing and salvation as well as encouragement.

Our first meeting was hospital.

Second meeting was Thursday Evening meeting at Lugazi Miracle Center. Pastor Hudsons church

Three people gave their hearts to Christ after that meeting and many were healed including a two women with deaf ears after Joey had received a word of knowledge about someone with a deaf ear, we prayed for literally everyone who came.

Friday we went to Jinja and met with one of the sponsors of many children homes here. It was a divine appointment but I cannot disclose details.

On the way back we stopped and prayed for an old lady who has lost her whole family (husband and children) to aids and only some of her grandchildren remain… She could not commit to the Lord yet but we believe we will see her again before our trip is done and we claim her for the kingdom.

Friday night was the once a month all night prayer meeting that included about 20 churches and a very large crowd. I strongly felt lead to preach a message that I knew would not be received well. It was a message about true unity and forgiving one another etc. The people had been dancing laughing and praising the Lord and it appeared that my message was a big downer, I really thanked God for my team who had been praying for me and encouraging me to obey God. Nobody really responded to that message with anything but polite thank you’s but I feel that a theme has been established and our credibility has risen. We are not here to be flatered, paraded around and impressed so that we can send more money. We have come to deliver what God has given us to share. I can see in the eyes of the people that they no longer see us as the typical mazoongoos. They respect our genuine desire to help.

It has been my prayer from the beginning “that we would make a real difference, and truly help people”. It is really happening.

Saturday Morning we went to Faith Children’s Center. Joey spoke as he has had a major burden for the children long before we got here. The kids loved his message and then we did a fire tunnel where we all prayed for all of them, prophesying over each one etc. we didn’t want to leave but we were expected at another village church where the people were already meeting and waiting for us.

Gold Dust…. Boy on fire

This church is the one where the poster of Treena and me with some of the members is hanging on the wall at Solomon’s Porch. When the picture was taken the church only had two walls and half of a roof due to rain and termites. We had (Treena and our church) sent money to build a new building with a new roof. Everyone was excited to see us and there was a large crowd for such a remote village church. We had three people get saved and countless healings including a man who was blind in one eye and the eye was healed as well as other ailments that he had. What was amazing about this gentleman was that Joey’s sister had had a dream about him and had drawn a picture with instructions for Joey should he meet this man. We did and WOW.

Sunday Morning Treena taught. Afterwhich Hudson told people that we would pray for people in his office. One woman was wonderfully delivered, received inner healing and healed, a young man with a pain in his knee was healed and then gave his heart to Christ. He then became my interpreter for an older woman who had cloudy vision as well as deafness and pain in one ear. She was completely healed and I got to watch the white cloudyness in her eyes disappear.

I taught the second service which was late getting started with my teaching because another young man came up and wanted to get saved right away.

We could not stay and pray after the message because we were expected to go help celebrate the first anniversary of a village church that we had helped pay for the roof to the building. I am sure glad that we did because a major rain storm hit that was so loud that all we could do was give hugs as the rain was too loud. At least we were dry.

When we got back Joey was to be the speaker at a youth meeting, he is still there as I am writing this.
